The KHL is harboring plenty of NHL players who are locked out by their owners in North America.
2012 KHL schedule: Kovalchuk, Bryzgalov, others in action this week
The KHL is underway with NHL stars dotting the landscape with the lockout still in effect.

Due to the circumstances, KHL teams have been enjoying a boon of extra talent throughout the first month of its season. On Thursday, that campaign continues with only one game taking place; SKA vs. Sibir.
SKA has a bevy of NHL talent on its roster, including New Jersey Devils forward Ilya Kovalchuk, Tampa Bay Lightning defense Victor Hedman, and Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky.
On Friday, four contests get going, including a match-up between CSKA and Lev.
CSKA has plenty of well-known players who will be taking the ice on Friday night in Russia in the persons of Philadelphia Flyers goalie Ilya Bryzgalov and Nashville Predators forward Alexander Radulov.
Bryzgalov has been the source of much controversy in the past year after signing a massive 9-year, $51 million deal with the Flyers. The Russian has underperformed since signing the contract, playing well under expectations in the 2012 playoffs.
