NCAA Hockey rankings 2012: Boston College stays on top
The Boston College men’s hockey team is once again the No. 1 team on the USCHO.com poll.


The Eagles earned 38 first-place votes to stay No. 1. Minnesota earned three first-place votes and came in second. Denver had six first-place votes but came in third.
Rounding out the top 10 is: Miami, North Dakota, Cornell, Notre Dame, Michigan, New Hampshire and Union.
New Hampshire, despite ranking ninth, earned two first-place votes. Union also picked up a first-place vote.
Boston College is 4-1 overall and 2-1 in conference this season. The Eagles have won four in a row and are coming off a 6-3 win over UMass-Lowell on Sunday.
The Eagles’ only loss came against Northeastern, 3-1, in the season opener Oct. 13.
Minnesota is also 4-1 this season. The Golden Gophers are coming off a 1-0 win over Canisius on Sunday.
Minnesota will host Boston College in the teams’ only matchup on Dec. 30.
