Sunday’s college hockey schedule is small, but packed with intriguing games.

Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE

This Sunday has some of the best games that the 2012 college hockey season will see, with perennial powers squaring off against one another.

The biggest names on the marquee are the Boston College Eagles and Massachusetts Minutemen, who will play for state bragging rights at 4:00 p.m..

Thus far, UMass has struggled to a 2-3 record after dropping consecutive games against the Boston University Terriers to begin the year, before beating the New Hampshire Wildcats in overtime.

On the other side, Boston College is 5-1 and appears primed to make another run at a National Championship. The Eagles are coming off a 4-2 defeat of the Maine Bears.

Another tilt to watch is the Western Michigan Broncos against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Broncos are 4-1 on the campaign, while Notre Dame has a 5-2 mark. Western Michigan won the contest between the two teams earlier this week.
