The weekend college hockey schedule kicked off a day early with No. 1 New Hampshire facing No. 7 Boston University on Thursday, but there is still plenty of action left for the weekend.
2012 College Hockey schedule: Boston College-Providence opens busy weekend
It will be another busy weekend in men’s college hockey as a number of top teams are in action.

After New Hampshire lost 3-2 to Boston, No. 2 Boston College will now have an opportunity to re-take the No. 1 spot. The Eagles will travel to Providence on Friday for their only game of the week. No. 3 Miami (Ohio) could also move up with a good weekend. It will host Lake Superior on Friday and Saturday.
Boston University picked up a win over the No. 1 team for the second straight week, but it won’t be the Terriers’ only game of the weekend. Boston will also host Maine on Saturday.
This week’s schedule also features one matchup of top 10 teams as No. 6 Denver travels to play No. 9 North Dakota on Friday and Saturday.
