NCAA Hockey Tournament 2012: Air Force Has Upset On The Mind

While the Boston College Eagles relish their No. 1 overall seed, the Air Force Falcons have upset on the mind.

In 2009, the Falcons entered the tournament as the Atlantic Hockey champion and upset No. 1 seed Michigan before falling in overtime to Vermont later in the tournament. They’ve also come close to knocking off Minnesota and Miami as a No. 4 seed in the past, so it’s hard to take them lightly.

Thats the modus operandi of these Atlantic Hockey champions. Rochester Institute of Technology advanced to the Frozen Four in 2010 after winning the conference and shocking both Denver and New Hampshire in the regional round. Air Force is in their sixth NCAA tournament in seven years.
