Senators Vs. Rangers, NHL Playoffs 2012 Game 3: Ottawa, New York Still Seeking Goals After Second

The Ottawa Senators and New York Rangers remain tied at 0-0 in their Eastern Conference Quarterfinals after two periods. But the play on the ice has been occasionally brilliant despite the lack of goals.

Ottawa remains out in front of New York in terms of offensive proficiency, with 25 shots to the Rangers' 16, but Henrik Lundqvist has saved all of them. And Senators goalie Craig Anderson one-upped King Henrik with a tremendous combination of a kick save and a sprawling corral of the rebound.

The Senators also have nine giveaways on the night, a statistic of dubious value, and have not be able to turn their advantages in peripheral stats into a lead. Bobby Butler and Erik Karlsson have each taken four shots for Ottawa.

For the Rangers, five different players share the lead in shots, with two each.
