Sharks Vs. Blues, Game 3: Alexander Steen Extends Blues’ Lead To 3

Less than a minute into the third period, the St. Louis Blues extended their lead over the San Jose Sharks to three goals in Game 3 of their Western Conference Quarter-Final series.

Blues forward Alexander Steen beat Sharks goalie Antti Niemi on a shot from the point to put St. Louis ahead, 4-1. The goal was the Blues' third on the power play, with the latest man advantage coming late in the second period when Sharks winger Daniel Winnik was sent off for boarding Colaiacovo at the 19:39 mark of the period.

Forward Andy McDonald and defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo assisted on the Steen goal, giving both players three points on the night. Colaiacovo has three assists, while McDonald scored the Blues' second goal of the game 1:01 into the second period and, 10 minutes later, assisted on Jason Arnott's power play goal.
