Bruins Vs. Capitals Game 7 Score, NHL Playoffs 2012: Boston Begins Generating Pressure

The Capitals controlled play for the first half of the second period, but after a bit of a settling-in stretch, the Bruins are starting to find their footing. Boston has the edge in shots and has controlled possession for several minutes toward the middle of the second period, and they've been able to generate several chances against Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby.

Meanwhile, the TD Garden crowd has perked up a bit too, chanting “Hooooooltby! Hoooooooltby!” several times. Of course, it doesn’t seem to be bugging the Caps’ rookie netminder too much. He’s been perfect all game long, stopping every shot he’s faced thus far in Game 7.

It seemed as though the Caps were going to take control as the B's looked tired and out of sorts, but we shouldn't expect the No. 2 seed to go down that easily. There's still a whole bunch of hockey left to play. Matt Hendricks' first-period goal is still the only one in the game, as Washington continues to hold a 1-0 lead.
