Despite being the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference and the champions of the Pacific Division, the Phoenix Coyotes entered the 2012 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs as huge underdogs (no pun intended). They surprised many people by eliminating the Chicago Blackhawks in one of the most hard-fought opening-round series in recent memory and have taken a commanding 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven series against the Nashville Predators in the Western Conference semifinals.

As the series heads back to Nashville on Wednesday, the Predators will be looking to take advantage of their home ice. They’ll want to give their faithful fans a reason to cheer and find a way to keep the series alive.

The puck will drop on Wednesday’s game at 9 p.m. ET. The game will be televised nationally on CNBC.
