Dominik Hasek is one of those athletes that just can’t part with the game he loves.
Dominik Hasek Hopes For NHL Comeback, Talking With Teams

According to Czech newspaper Denik Sport, the 47-year-old goaltender is working towards a return to the NHL next season, with Detroit and Tampa Bay among the two teams reportedly considering signing Hasek to a deal.
Out of the NHL since 2008, Hasek continued his goaltending career by playing in the Czech Extraliga and Russia’s Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). This last year, however, Hasek was not seen on the ice, but stayed very active and healthy through a number of outdoor activities.
During a recent visit to the United States to see his son at Michigan State Univeristy, Hasek spent time speaking with at least a few NHL franchises. He cited multiple opportunities and offers to continue playing overseas, but is more interested in returning stateside.
Hasek is one of the most accomplished goalies of his generation, if not in the history of the NHL.
The two-time Stanely Cup Champion has won six Vezina Trophies and two Hart Trophies, is one of just three goaltenders to win the MVP award since 1962 and is the only goaltender to win the award multiple times.
