Tough guy Zenon Konopka has signed a two-year contract with the Minnesota Wild according to a report from TSN. The unrestricted free agent played 55 games with the Ottawa Senators during the 2011-12 season. Financial terms were not immediately available.

Konopka made his NHL debut back in 2005-06 with the Anaheim Ducks. He bounced around between the AHL and NHL for several seasons before becoming a regular NHL player in the 2009-10 season with the Tampa Bay Lightning. He's also played for the New York Islanders.
The fourth-liner is known for his physical play and he’s never shy to drop the gloves, but he’s also a very skilled face off man, winning 58.9 percent of his draws with the Sens last season. He racked up 193 penalty minutes in 55 games.
Konopka earned $700,000 on a one-year deal signed with Ottawa in 2011-12.
