On Sunday afternoon, the San Jose Sharks came to terms on a four-year contract with Adam Burish that will pay the gritty winger $1.8 million per year. Burish played the last two seasons with the Dallas Stars, who he signed a two-year, $1.15 contract with in 2010.

San Jose will be Burish's third stop in the NHL after spending four years in Chicago with the Blackhawks prior to going to Dallas. The 29-year-old forward was a member of the Blackhawks team that won the Stanley Cup over the Philadelphia Flyers in 2010.

Selected with the No. 282 overal selection in 2002 by Chicago, Burish has registered 25 goals and 29 assists for a total of 54 points over 297 career games.

The captain of the 2005-06 national championship-winning Wisconsin Badgers, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound forward is known for his physical play at the NHL level.
