The Philadelphia Flyers are already hard at work assembling a team for the 2012-13 NHL season. They'll be bringing aboard two new players in the new season, including one that will be familiar to longtime Flyers fans.
Philadelphia Flyers Sign Ruslan Fedotenko, Bruno Gervais
The Philadelphia Flyers have inked Ruslan Fedotenko and Bruno Gervais to one-year deals. Fedotenko will return to the Flyers after a decade with other teams.

According to the official Flyers website, the team two players to one-year contracts on Thursday. They will bring back former Flyers forward Ruslan Fedotenko with a $1.75 million deal. They also inked defenseman Bruno Gervais to a one-year deal worth $825,000.
Travis Hughes at Broad Street Hockey had this to say about the signings:
[Gervais is] a fifth defenseman at best -- more likely a sixth or seventh defenseman, a commodity the Flyers are stocked with.
Fedotenko is a decent depth signing at a nice price. He’s a solid two-way guy who finished fourth on the Rangers last season in competition rank. He started just 36 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, showing that John Tortorella trusted Fedotenko to take on tough assignments. A solid third-line winger, he plays mostly the left side, an area where the Flyers are deficient.
Fedotenko spent the last two seasons with the New York Rangers and last skated for Philadelphia in the 2001-02 season. Gervais spent last year with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
