The Florida Panthers have officially signed restricted free agent defenseman Dmitry Kulikov to a two-year contract, worth $5 million that will carry an annual average value of $2.5 million, according to Bob McKenzie of TSN on Friday afternoon.

Defenseman Dmitry Kulikov signed a two-year contract with the Florida Panthers on Friday afternoon.

Kulikov will be paid $2 million in Year 1 of the deal and $3 million in the second year. The deal has been submitted to the NHL by the Panthers and is waiting approval.
As of Friday morning, Kulikov was already on his way to Florida to take a physical and sign the deal.
Originally selected with the No. 14 overall pick in the 2009 NHL Draft by Florida, Kulikov signed his entry-level contract in Sept. of that year and played in 68 games with the team that season.
In 198 career regular season games with the Panthers, the 22-year-old blue liner has compiled 13 goals, 57 assists, 70 points and 113 penalty minutes.
