Boston Bruins defenseman Dennis Seidenberg will be scratched for Monday afternoon's game against the Winnipeg Jets due to a lower body injury, according to a post on the team's official Twitter account.

Seidenberg will be listed as day-to-day.

Mike Loftus of the Patriot Ledger tweeted that Seidenberg appeared to be flexing his leg after receiving a hit during the regular season opener against the New York Rangers on Saturday night. According to Joe Haggerty of Comcast SportsNet New England, Seidenberg appeared to be fine during the team's practice on Sunday.

With Seidenberg out of the lineup, defenseman Aaron Johnson will take his place and will start the game with Johnny Boychuk on the second pairing. Seidenberg's partner, Dougie Hamilton, has been moved up onto the first pairing with team captain Zdeno Chara. Andrew Ference and Adam McQuaid will round out the team's defense pairings.

Tuukka Rask will be starting in goal.

Monday’s game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. ET.
