Philadelphia Flyers forward Zac Rinaldo will miss at least one week due to a cut he sustained during the team's Sunday afternoon meeting with the Buffalo Sabres, according to general manager Paul Holmgren on Monday afternoon.

Rinaldo suffered the injury while attempting to check Buffalo defenseman Robyn Regehr. While attempting to execute the hit, the two players fell to the ice with Regeher's skate blade accidentally cutting Rinaldo. The player immediately left the game and required 20 stitches to close the wound.

With Rinaldo out of the lineup, the team has decided to recall forward Tye McGinn from the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms. Adirondack was playing in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Sunday night and following the game, McGinn stayed behind in order to travel to Philadelphia.

As of Monday afternoon, it is unclear whether McGinn will play in the team's game against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night. The Flyers also have forwards Tom Sestito and Jody Shelley available. Both players were healthy scratches in the team's first two games of the season.
