With the NHL and NHL Players Association finally coming to terms on a new collective bargaining agreement on Sunday morning, the attention of the collective hockey world turns to the start of a condensed regular season schedule.
Adam Henrique injury: Devils forward likely to miss start of season

However, some players might have to wait a bit longer to return to action. This could be the case for New Jersey Devils forward Adam Henrique.
According to a report by Tom Gulitti of The Record, the Devils might be without Henrique for the first couple weeks of the season as he undergoes rehab on the torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb.
Henrique sustained the injury while playing with the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Albany Devils, on Nov. 28, the 22-year-old Calder Trophy finalist required surgery to reattach the torn ligament. Originally projected to miss four-to-six weeks, Henrique had his cast removed on Jan. 3 and is expected to require three-to-four weeks of rehab.
As of Sunday morning, the NHL has yet to release a schedule for the condensed regular season. That is expected to be announced following the drafting and ratification of the new collective bargaining agreement.
