Montreal Canadiens forward George Parros was taken off the ice on a stretcher in the third period of Tuesday's game against Toronto after suffering an apparent head injury following a fight with Colton Orr.

George Parros had to be taken off on a stretcher on Tuesday night after he hit his face on the ice following a fight with Colton Orr.
The damage was done when Orr fell to the ice and grabbed on to Parros’s jersey, pulling him down as well. Parros ended hitting the ice face first. He remained on the ice for a quite a while while the training staff attended to him and as he was carted off there was a noticeable cut on his chin.

The Canadiens announced after the game that Parros suffered a concussion and that he is undergoing further tests.
The NHL added a new rule for the 2013-14 season that prohibits players from removing their own helmets during a fight in an effort to protect them from hitting their heads during a fight. There is nothing that can protect a player from that.
The Maple Leafs and Canadiens are no strangers to fisticuffs in their games, as the Parros-Orr fight was the fourth one of the game.
Both Parros and Orr received 10-minute game misconducts as well as five-minute majors for fighting.
