Avalanche vs. Capitals: Matt Duchene scores dazzling goal

That’s what you call a one-man power play.

The Colorado Avalanche spent most of their first power play of the game getting the puck spit back out of the offensive zone by the Washington Capitals. No sustained pressure whatsoever.

Fed up by this lack of offense, Matt Duchene took matters into his own hands.

I believe the technical term for what he did to Carl Alzner there is “undress.” The Avalanche are up 2-0 after one period, well on their way to a 5-0-0 record.
