The New York Rangers were starting to dominate play and tilt the ice in their favor against the Washington Capitals in the second period of Wednesday's game, and all of their hard work was finally rewarded with a goal.
Braden Holtby had some problems with this John Moore shot
Braden Holtby had some problems trying to stop this shot from John Moore of the New York Rangers on Wednesday night.

It came from defenseman John Moore, who had not scored a goal in 29 games, when he ripped this laser of a wrist shot from out near the blue line, stunning Capitals goalie Braden Holtby.
Holtby either never saw the shot because of a screen (John Carlson maybe?) or simply flat out misplayed it.
The Rangers continued their territorial dominance a few minutes later when Ryan Callahan knocked a puck in a puck out of the air to give them a 2-0 lead.
