Penner leaves game after Garbutt hit
Bruce Fedyck-USA TODAY SportsWith the Ducks on the power play and Penner carrying the puck towards the Stars’ slot at 5:29 in the second period, Garbutt quickly exited the penalty box and laid a high hit on Penner. Penner collapsed to the ice in a heap, halting play immediately. Thankfully Penner was able to leave the ice without a stretcher, but his legs were extremely wobbly underneath him. The Ducks have updated the media about Penner’s injury:
