Jared Spurgeon makes a game-saving goal line save for Minnesota

Jared Spurgeon made the biggest save of the night for Minnesota.

Josh Harding stopped 16 shots for the Minnesota Wild in their 2-0 win over the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night, but it was defenseman Jared Spurgeon that made perhaps the biggest save in the final minute.

With the Wild clinging to a 1-0 lead and the Predators doing everything they could to even the score, Spurgeon was in the right place at the right time and did this.

Minnesota would add an empty-net goal just seconds later to improve to 4-3-3 on the season. Up until this point this game had little in the way of excitement and was everything you would expect a Minnesota-Nashville game to be. The two teams combined for just 44 shots on goal.

Whatever the first 59 minutes lacked in drama, the teams tried to make up for it in the final minute.
