Five NHL questions: Alfredsson faces Senators, Sabres host Bruins

A daily feature that asks the five biggest questions about today’s NHL action. Will they be answered? (That doesn’t count as one of the five questions.)

Rob Grabowski-USA TODAY Sports
1. Is anything of note going to happen with Daniel Alfredsson?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know alllll about Alfredsson facing the Senators for the first time in his career. Still, we wanna know if anything happens.

2. What about Mika Zibanejad?

Zibanejad didn’t make the Senators out of training camp, which was surprising to many. With plenty of explanations swirling from disappointment from management to a lack of finances, Zibanejad was sent to Binghamton to start the year. Well, he’s back now and we wanna know if he used his team in the AHL to improve.

3. Will Niklas Kronwall be operating at 100 percent?

Kronwall sustained a concussion last week, but is expected to play on Wednesday. Unfortunately, he was hit in the face with a puck during Wednesday's morning skate, which isn't expected to keep him out but has the potential to. The Red Wings will already be without Jonathan Ericsson as he will miss two-to-three weeks with a shoulder injury. This makes Kronwall's availability all the more important.

4. Will the Sabres record their first division win against the Bruins?

Buffalo is 1-8-1 through 10 games and Sabres fans are noooooot happy. The Sabres are 0-2-1 against Atlantic Division rivals, while the Bruins are 4-1-0 against the grouping.

5. Will Jarome Iginla score a goal?

He hasn’t and we wanna know if he will on Wednesday. Let us know how he did!
