Coach fight! Patrick Roy breaks stanchion while yelling at Bruce Boudreau

In the wake of the incident, Roy told Dater that Boudreau’s accusations are untrue and that he would never yell at players on an opposing team, via The Denver Post:

The Predators play the Avalanche on Friday night.

A scrum broke out at the conclusion of Wednesday night’s game when both teams iced their fourth line. Anaheim head coach Bruce Boudreau had sent out his group first, followed by Roy. When the scrum pushed towards the Colorado bench, Roy began yelling at Anaheim players, which upset Boudreau.

This attracted Roy’s attention to the opposing coach. While yelling at one another, Roy began pushing the stanchion between the benches and broke the structure.
