Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn put on a show for the Dallas Stars on Thursday night.

Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn were doing whatever they wanted on Thursday night and the Calgary Flames couldn't do a thing to stop them.

Seguin scored four goals while Jamie Benn added a goal and five assists in the Dallas Stars' 7-3 blowout win. It was a clinic from start to finish.

Before Thursday no NHL player had scored five points in a game this season, and the Stars managed to produce two of them on the same line in the same game. There were only six five-point games in the league all of last season (Thomas Vanek had two, Sidney Crosby, Chris Kunitz, Taylor Hall and Henrik Zetterberg each had one).

Benn's six-point effort is just the 13th in the NHL since 2005-06, and the first since Sam Gagner recorded eight points for the Edmonton Oilers Feb. 2, 2012 in an 8-4 win over the Chicago Blackhawks. Seguin's four-goal effort was the second in the NHL this season, joining San Jose Sharks forward Tomas Hertl.

Seguin is having a breakout season for the Stars and is now up to 12 goals and 10 assists in 19 games. Dallas acquired him, along with Rich Peverley, in a blockbuster trade from the Boston Bruins over the summer in exchange for Loui Eriksson.

This is Seguin’s fourth goal of the night, and no, he did not celebrate like San Jose’s Joe Thornton would have.
