Buffalo picked up another victory on Friday, this a 3-1 win over the Maple Leafs in the first meeting between the teams since their preseason line brawl.

After there was little NHL interest in his services during the offseason he eventually signed a pro tryout contract with Las Vegas of the ECHL. That lasted about two weeks before he was released from it.

Nystrom suffered a cut on his face (which can be seen on the photo above) and was knocked to the ice during the bout. After it was over he had to be helped to the locker room as he could barely stand up.
