Blackhawks vs. Sharks: Corey Crawford drops puck into own net

Squeeze the glove, Crawford.

I’m no hockey expert, but I’ve played baseball. The basic concept of catching a baseball is to make sure you squeeze your glove once it’s in your mitt so it doesn’t fall out. I feel like the same concept applies to hockey goalies.

Case in point: Corey Crawford. The Chicago Blackhawks goaltender caught a sizzling shot in the second period, only to let it slip out and trickle over the line for a goal.

Here’s an overhead view you can watch when you’re done shaking your head in disbelief.

I'm going to rule that an E5. On the bright side, that's the only goal the Sharks have scored. San Jose trails, 2-1, in the second period.
