The last time the New York Islanders unveiled a new jersey it was that hideous black thing that pretty much everybody hated (and still hates).
Islanders unveil Stadium Series jersey
The New York Islanders unveiled their new Stadium Series jersey on Wednesday morning, and it’s not the worst thing they’ve ever done with a jersey.

Early Wednesday morning, the Islanders unveiled yet another new jersey, this time for their Stadium Series game against the New York Rangers on Jan. 29.
That's captain John Tavares modeling the new sweater in the photo (via New York Newsday) above, and it's not a terrible look. It keeps the Islanders' traditional colors and features the new "Stadium Series logo" on the front.
Matt Martin told Cody Derespina of Newsday that the jersey has a "futuristic" look to it.
The Islanders and Rangers will meet at Yankee Stadium in one of the four Stadium Series games that will take place this season. In addition to the Islanders-Rangers matchup, the Rangers will also play the New Jersey Devils at Yankee Stadium. The other two games will feature the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings at Dodger Stadium, and the Pittsburgh Penguins and Chicago Blackhawks at Soldier Field.
