The Dallas Stars lost half of their top defensive pairing in the second period on Friday night against the Chicago Blackhawks when Stephane Robidas had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher after crashing into the boards and suffering an apparent leg injury.
Stephane Robidas injury: Stars defenseman taken off on stretcher with leg injury
Stephane Robidas had to leave the Stars’ game on Friday on a stretcher after suffering what looked to be a serious leg injury crashing into the boards.

Robidas crashed into the boards behind the Dallas net and appeared to be in excruciating pain after his leg bent awkwardly underneath him. Robidas appeared to simply lose an edge on his skates and just slid into the boards after defending a centering pass from Chicago’s Patrick Sharp.
The 15-year-veteran has been playing alongside Brenden Dillon this season and averaging more than 20 minutes of ice-time per game. He has scored five goals to go with one assist while playing a shutdown defensive role.
