Why would it? After all, Tortorella spent most of his final few years in New York shuttling the youthful power forward between the AHL and the NHL while criticizing him along the way. Sure, it was constructive criticism at its core. But Tortorella knew Kreider had potential, so it’s only fair that he was around to see it fulfilled.
