Shea Weber injury: Predators captain is day-to-day with eye injury

Weber took a puck to the face on Thursday.

Nashville will be without two of their top defensemen on Saturday, as Shea Weber and Kevin Klein will miss the Predators' game against Philadelphia with injuries.

The Predators called up Joe Piskula from the AHL to fill in on the blueline on Saturday and placed Filip Forsberg on injured reserve.

Weber is day-to-day with an eye injury he suffered on Thursday against Edmonton when he got hit by a puck to the face. Oilers foward David Perron fired a wrist shot late in the second period that caught the Predators captain in the face, forcing him to fall to the ice in pain. He immediately left and didn't return for the remainder of the game.

Nashville will also be without Klein tonight, who is out with an undisclosed injury. Both Klein and Weber eat up more than 20 minutes a night, so it’s quite the loss.
