Ryan Callahan saves a goal

Ryan Callahan helped out his goaltender on Wednesday night by saving a goal late in the first period against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Henrik Lundqvist has had to make some pretty tough saves for the New York Rangers on Wednesday night, but the Penguins did manage to sneak one behind him late in the first period.

With about six minutes to play in the period, Pascal Dupuis deflected a Matt Niskanen shot that slowly trickled through the Rangers goaltender and appeared to be headed for the back of the net when Rangers captain Ryan Callahan swooped in and saved a goal.
