Flames honor Jarome Iginla in return to Calgary

Jarome Iginla made his first return to Calgary as a visiting player on Tuesday night. The team was sure to honor him.

It was sure to be an emotional night in Calgary on Tuesday with longtime Flames captain Jarome Iginla playing his first game there as an opposing player.

The Flames pulled out all the stops in honoring their all-time leader in goals, points and games played with this highlight package that was accompanied by a lengthy standing ovation from the fans in attendance.

Iginla played 1,219 regular season games with the Flames scoring 525 goals and 1,095 points before being traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins at the trading deadline a year ago. During his time with the Flames he led the team to the 2003-04 Stanley Cup Final and scored 50 goals two times, including a league-best 52 during the 2001-02 season when he also won the scoring title.

Iginla signed a one-year, $6 million contract with the Bruins in free agency this past summer.
