Pavel Datsyuk scores in return to lineup

Pavel Datsyuk is back and he’s playing as if he never the lineup.

Pavel Datsyuk returned to the Detroit Red Wings lineup on Tuesday night against the Florida Panthers after missing a couple of weeks due to a concussion, and it didn't take him long to start doing the things that make him … well … Pavel Datsyuk.

After getting the primary assist on Todd Bertuzzi's first period goal he tallied one of his own in the second period when he tipped in this slick feed from Jonathan Ericsson to give the Red Wings a 2-0 lead.

The Red Wings definitely missed him. As if all of that wasn’t enough he followed that goal up with this shift where the puck seemed to be attached to his stick on a string. (Video via @Weallbleedred)

Unfortunately for the Red Wings it wasn’t enough as they let a 2-0 third period lead slip away and lost in the shootout.More from SB Nation NHL:
