Let the debate about whether Steven Stamkos is a human or a cyborg begin. More than a month after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured tibia in his right leg, the Lightning center skated for the first time on Saturday morning while his team practiced.

Stamkos is eying an early February return.
If you’ll remember, Stamkos was injured in early November when he slid hard into the goal post while on a scoring chance. He had to be stretchered off the ice due to the pain.
Just a month later, Stamkos took to the ice for the first time on Saturday.
Fancy stickwork there, Steven. This is the latest in a string of good news for Stamkos and the Lightning. Two weeks ago, TSN's Darren Dreger reported that Stamkos' recovery was progressing so quickly that the forward was expecting to return as soon as the first week of February. Stamkos is expected to work closely with trainer Gary Roberts through the winter before beginning two-a-day training in January.
