Damien Brunner steals everything from Jared Cowen, scores beautiful goal

Damien Brunner stole the puck from Jared Cowen, then scored a gorgeous goal for the Devils.

Russell LaBounty-USA TODAY Sport

After going 17 games without scoring a goal, Damien Brunner has been on a roll for the New Jersey Devils over the past week.

His second-period goal on Tuesday was his fourth in as many games, and it was a thing of beauty to give the Devils a 4-1 lead over the Ottawa Senators.

That's Senators defenseman Jared Cowen getting overpowered and losing everything (the puck, his stick … maybe a little confidence) and then Brunner does the rest, finishing the play with a gorgeous deke around Robin Lehner.

Was there a penalty that the referees missed for a slash? Maybe. But be honest: that play is pretty awesome
