Brian Campbell is wide open

Brian Campbell continued his strong season on Tuesday night thanks in large part to this breakdown by the Ottawa Senators penalty kill.

It's probably been easy to overlook because the Florida Panthers have been one of the worst teams in the league over the first two months, but defenseman Brian Campbell has been having yet another really strong and underappreciated season in south Florida.

He continued it on Tuesday by scoring his fourth goal of the season in the first period against the Ottawa Senators, thanks in large part to, well, let's call it a bit of a defensive breakdown by the Ottawa penalty kill.

That’s not going to work!

Here’s what the play looked like in motion, and yes, he’s just as wide open as it looked in the screen grab.

That goal gave the Panthers a 2-0 lead. Unfortunately for them, it did not last long, as the Senators came back to score the next two goals.
