Alex Stalock robs Nathan Gerbe with great toe save

Alex Stalock doesn’t get many opportunities to play in San Jose, but he took advantage of it on Friday with a great toe save on Nathan Gerbe.

Alex Stalock was making a rare start for the San Jose Sharks on Friday night and it didn't take him long to come up with a huge save against the Carolina Hurricanes.

With the Sharks already up 1-0, Stalock made this great toe save on Carolina's Nathan Gerbe to protect the lead.

The Sharks would add a second goal just a few minutes later.

Stalock relieved starter Antti Niemi after two periods on Thursday night in Pittsburgh, stopping two of the three shots he faced. Friday was just his fourth start of the season for the Sharks.

In five appearances this season he has a .944 save percentage and a 3-0-0 record.
