Minnesota Wild forward Devin Setoguchi will have a hearing with the NHL’s Department of Player Safety on Tuesday in relation to a hit he administered on Kyle Quincey. Do you think he will be suspended?

The meeting will be related to a cross-check Setoguchi administered to Detroit Red Wings defenseman Kyle Quincey during Sunday night's game. Setoguchi's stick hit Quincey in the mouth, which resulted in a double-minor for high-sticking at the 15:19 mark of the second period.
Quincey had to receive medical attention after the play, as he required 20 stitches to close the cut on his chin. He was able to return to the game in the third period.

The message has been sent that a player has to control his stick, and Setoguchi did not do that here. It is clear that Setoguchi knew right away that he messed up as he checks on Quincey, and at least that shows it likely was not out of malice.
That won’t save him. Expect Setoguchi to be gone at least one game. My bet is two.
Under the collective bargaining agreement, the league must request a discipline hearing in order to administer a fine exceeding $5,000.
Three players have been suspended this season, which includes Philadelphia's Brayden Schenn (one game), New York's Colin McDonald (two games) and Washington's John Erskine (three games).
