Columbus Blue Jackets forward Brandon Dubinsky is expected to miss one-to-two weeks due to a sprained knee, according to Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch on Thursday morning.

Brandon Dubinsky is expected to miss one-to-two weeks while recovering from a sprained knee.

Dubinsky had been placed on injured reserve on Wednesday night. Head coach Todd Richards stated that Dubinsky would likely be evaluated on a day-to-day basis, but did not expect him to miss more than a few weeks.
The 26-year-old forward originally sustained the injury during the team's 5-3 loss against the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday night. Acquired as a return piece in the trade of Rick Nash, Dubinsky has compiled a goal and seven assists for eight points in 15 games with Columbus.
In addition to placing Dubinsky on injured reserve, the Blue Jackets also announced that the club had activated forward Cam Atkinson off the injured list. Atkinson had suffered a high ankle sprain against Phoenix on Jan. 23 and was forced to miss 13 games.
