Kings vs. Red Wings: Jonathan Bernier heads puck into his own net

This is not going to help his trade value.

In another life, Jonathan Bernier was one helluva soccer striker.

The Kings' backup netminder was the victim of an unfortunate goal in the first period against the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday night. At 9:42, Red Wings defenseman Kyle Quincey fired a shot that skimmed the brim of Bernier's glove and fluttered high above the goalie's head. It was at this point when all of Jonathan Bernier's skills as a hockey goaltender were rendered useless. The puck avoided Slava Voynov's desperate clearing swing and bounced off of Bernier's mask and fell into the net.

Hey, if Bernier isn't content with being Jonathan Quick's backup there are plenty of EPL teams in need of a striker.
