There are five games on tap in the NHL on Monday night, with the Colorado Avalanche (4-4-0) and Dallas Stars (3-5-1) headlining the night as the NBC Sports Network's nationally televised game.

The schedule is Western Conference-heavy, as the contest between the Carolina Hurricanes (3-4-0) and Toronto Maple Leafs (4-4-0) is the only Eastern Conference matchup of the night.

There will be two division match-ups on Monday, with the Vancouver Canucks (4-2-2) challenging the Edmonton Oilers (4-3-1) and the Anaheim Ducks (5-1-1) hosting the San Jose Sharks (7-0-1). The only other game on Monday will be the Phoenix Coyotes (3-4-2) against the Minnesota Wild (4-3-1).
