Jamie Benn injury: Stars forward to miss Tuesday night due to wrist, not head
Jamie Benn will likely miss Tuesday night’s game against the Nashville Predators due to injury.

Benn sustained a significant hit by Phoenix Coyotes forward Martin Hanzal during a game on Saturday night. While Benn was attempting to finish a shot attempt, Hanzal landed a punishing blow on Benn. After sustaining the blow, Benn fell to the ice and remained there while the training staff came out to exam the damage.
Given that the play happened in the closing minutes of the contest, Benn did not return.
While much of the impact appeared to centered on Benn’s head, Mark Stepneski of the Stars official website is reporting that Benn did not sustain a concussion. In addition, Stepneski reports that X-rays on Benn’s wrist have come back negative and show no break.
As of Monday afternoon, no timetable has been released on a potential return.
