Michael Grabner placed on injured reserve, Islanders recall David Ullstrom
Michael Grabner has been placed on injured reserve by the New York Islanders due to an upper-body injury.

Grabner is believed to have sustained the injury during Sunday's 6-1 loss against the Pittsburgh Penguins. However, it remains unclear when the injury might have occurred. It is believed that Grabner will need 10 days before returning to regular activity.
In 26 games this season, the 25-year-old forward has registered 10 goals and three assists, as well as six penalty minutes.
On Tuesday, it was reported that general manager Garth Snow was heading to Bridgeport to determine which player the Islanders would recall in Grabner's absence. On Wednesday morning, the club announced that forward David Ullstrom would return to the Islanders only two days after being loaned to Bridgeport.
In 19 games in New York this season, Ullstrom has registered two goals and three assists for five points.
