Panthers vs. Bruins: Shawn Matthias scores a remarkable shorthanded goal
Matthias beat Dougie Hamilton with a diving effort.

Less than a minute after Boston broadcaster Jack Edwards mentioned that the Bruins were one of the only teams in the league not to give up a shorthanded goal this season…they gave up a shorthanded goal.
Florida forward Shawn Matthias, who had a couple of solid shorthanded chances earlier on the same penalty kill, made an impressive individual effort to beat Boston's Dougie Hamilton and score a beautiful goal.
Hamilton felt that the goal shouldn’t have counted because Matthias’s dive should have been called a trip, but the officials disagreed.
Jack Edwards, how do you feel about cursing the Bruins and causing them to give up their first shorthanded goal of the year?
Oh good, I was afraid you were going to be sad about it.
