Kings vs. Sharks: Brent Burns at forward is totally working
Brent Burns scored his second goal in as many games playing in his new position.

The San Jose Sharks traded for Brent Burns because they needed another puck-moving defenseman to take some of the pressure off of Dan Boyle ... but Burns is making his biggest impact of the season in his new experimental role playing as a wing.
Burns scored for the second game in a row playing as a wing. This was exactly what the Sharks were hoping for when they decided to try him out at the position — the team has been desperate for scoring from anyone not named Joe Thornton or Patrick Marleau.
Burns has played forward on occasion before, notably back in the AHL when he was coached by current Sharks head coach Todd McLellan.
McLellan has stated that playing Burns as a forward is only a temporary measure — but what will the team do if he keeps scoring goals?
