Curtis Glencross nets a (cowboy) hat trick in 6-3 win over Nashville

Cowboy hats were flying everywhere on Western Night in Calgary.

USA TODAY Sports

I suppose it was only fitting that someone get a hat trick on Western Night in Calgary on Friday.

Curtis Glencross was the man to do it, notching three goals in a dominant 6-3 Flames win over the struggling Nashville Predators.

Glencross got each of his three goals in the third period. In fact, you could say that Glencross single-handedly held off the Predators' comeback attempts. After Glencross scored just a minute into the frame, Mike Fisher responded with one of his own. And Glencross widened the gap with another goal. David Legwand made things interesting late in the period, but Glencross buried the empty netter to seal the win.

And cowboy hats came raining down from the rafters.
