Winnipeg Jets owner gets excited after marathon shootout

Mark Chipman is more intense about his team than you are.

USA TODAY Sports

Shootouts are without a doubt one of the more nerve-wreaking events in all of sports. Love it or hate it, nothing will make you wear down your fingernails more than a shootout after the end of a long game.

Well try sitting through ten rounds of a shootout. You read that correctly.

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Winnipeg Jets scored three goals in 20 shots in a marathon shootout that had Jets owner Mark Chipman freaking out in the press box. Actually, he freaked out in a couple of ways. The first kind of freak out he had was the nervous kind as the shootout dragged on: he yelled at his team a bit and held his head in his hands.

The second kind of freakout came after his team won the shootout.
