Five Answers
Prior to last night’s games, we presented five burning questions regarding the night’s action. Here are your cool, soothing answers.
1. Will the Pittsburgh Penguins extend their winning-streak to 10 games?
Alexander Ovechkin scored the game's first goal, but Pittsburgh got the next two (with two assist for Sidney Crosby) and the Penguins took the game 2-1 to keep their winning streak going.
2. Will the Boston Bruins take over sole possession of first place in the Northeast Division?
Despite having an early lead, the Bruins collapsed late in their game against the Winnipeg Jets, lost the game in regulation, and remained two points back of the Canadiens in the Northeast.
3. Will the New York Rangers jump into eighth place in the Eastern Conference?
Rick Nash scored the game-winner in the second period, and Rangers moved ahead of the New Jersey Devils to claim the eighth spot in the East.
4. Will Sergei Bobrovsky hold the Nashville Predators to less than three goals?
No, the Predators managed to get three past Bobrovsky -- but that wasn’t enough to beat the Blue Jackets, who scored four.
5. Will the Phoenix Coyotes avenge their loss against the Los Angeles Kings on Monday night?
No, instead they lost again and set a lousy new franchise record:
The #Coyotes new scoreless franchise record is set at 245:33.

Yet another Ottawa Senators player got injured Tuesday. How many more can they possibly endure while remaining in playoff position?
Stat of the Night
Pittsburgh's Brandon Sutter should probably get that Lady Byng trophy:
As per my conversation w/ @seangentille: Brandon Sutter has played in 30 games and has 4 PIMs, all of which are from using hand to win f/o.
