Maple Leafs vs. Lightning: Joffrey Lupul scores his third in four periods
That’s what good puck possession looks like.

Leafs fans will tell you their team has sorely missed Jake Gardiner, but it's clear that Toronto missed Joffrey Lupul much, much more.
Lupul stole the spotlight from the recently promoted and well-publicized young defenseman with a goal in the first period. Lupul has now scored three times in the last four periods since returning from injury. And the goal was set up beautifully. After a Sami Salo turnover, Dion Phaneuf passed to Carl Gunnarsson, who passed to a cutting Nazem Kadri, who dished it to Lupul at the doorstep. Mathieu Garon was caught sliding the other way and the puck found the back of the net.
Now that is what you might call positive CORSI in action.
